I have a kudu and a gemsbok backskin tanned with hair on...what can one do with them besides hang them on the wall?

Anyone with photos of projects using these hides?

My dad and I still have all our backskins and haven't done anything with them but may plan on having some made into barstool top covers and pillows. Sorry don't have pictures, just ideas.

vapodog,

This may be what you are talking about? You can do about anything you would normally do with leather.

Keep us posted.

I'm getting my Cape Buffalo back half tanned with the proper thickness for heavy rifle cases. Imagine the center part with the carry handles with Kudu/ Gemsbok hide on sections...
