In relation to the thread about Eland roughs or mops, here's the best one I've done.

Great looking mount Jerry and a heck of an Eland. I assume a Livingstone?

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

+1

truly an awesome animal, one of my favorites for sure.

This is one my wife shot last September

well over 60" around the neck

I think I will be adding some foam to the form!

Interesting in that when the necks get big and swollen like that, the dulap shrinks up to almost nothing. I guess that is why they need all that extra skin.

Hope that mop of hair makes it home.

Here's a couple of pics of the big beasty in the field. This first one is a few days before I decided to take him.
