I need to replace some spoiled southern african capes so that I can mount the heads. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can buy the following tanned capes for shoulder mounts: 1 x common eland 1 x bushpig 1 x chobe bushbuck 1 x grey bush duiker 2 x southern greater kudu 2 x southern impala 2 x common reedbuck I need to get these heads on the wall, finally, and need your help.

Try taxidermy.net "for sale" forum or ebay. There was a tanned bush pig cape on taxidermy.net a few days ago, real cheap. Perhaps it is still for sale. The bushbuck and the bushpig would normally be the hardest to replace. Capes for the other species are available often if you spend the time searching for them. Just remember that if you buy salted capes you will have the tanning time and cost on top of what they cost. If you get capes that are tanned, try and get ones that have been tanned recently. Good luck.

Howdy, I have one great kudu cape now, one marginal kudu cape, one bush duiker cape, and I should be getting an eland cape from tanner very soon.

Grafton, Thanks for the heads up on Taxidermy.net I posted on their wanted site and have had a number of replies that should be able to provide the capes. It should give me a second chance to put some very nice trophies on the wall where they belong.
