I've got a few elephant hair braclets that mean a whole lot to me. They are only 4 years old but I've had several strands break from splitting.

It seems like I read somewhere to use human hair conditioner. Would you let it soak in and then wipe it off?

Is there a better substance to protect the hairs and make them last longer? Wax? Oil? Turpentine & linseed oil mix?

Should they be soaked in the substance and wiped dry or would you put a coat on every few months?

Thanks,
Kyler

Use hair conditioner. I usually put the bracelet in a bowl and cover it with conditioner to soak for a while.
