Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

I don't know anything about either, but they are both great!

MOA TACTICALWhat does the roebuck weigh? 350grams?
10 April 2012, 22:05
RaseniI did not weight the buck, but it won´t make a medal, I would say about 300g, and no more than 90-100 point. though it was a very nice buck.
I have just been back to the same place for regulating deer in a big plantation, and shot another buck of the same size, though it was still in velvet. But it was missing half of one hind leg.

28 April 2012, 21:51
JoolsVery nice on both mounts.

Rasenihuntingcats, sorry they are not hunted through any outfitter, but a good friend of mine on his land in scotland. They have been hunted in the area close to Ben Lomond, and Aberfoyle.
He also shoots some red stags there.
But yes, that goat is quite big, I am very pleased with it. Hope it will make SCI # 9
regards
Rasmus
Very nice, I really like the goat!

Great goat. Stunning taxidermy.
I've got a couple really similar from another part of the UK. However the one I had mounted really looks nowhere near as good as that.
Whats the SCI formula for measuring them?
On CIC mine come out at about 386 and 397 with me measuring them.....
thank you very much. Yes my friend is getting quite good at the mounting work, he will also be mounting all my african trophies this year.
The method for measuring the goat in SCI is length of both horn, + the circumference of both horns.
I am not sure what mine would be in CIC...
cheers
Rasmus
SO the feral goat has been officially measured, and information has been sent to SCI record book. I will make a new # 9 with 83 6/8 inches.
regards
Rasmus
Excellent, well done.
I used the system you described and the big one comes out at 85.83inches.
That is great, send it to SCI :-) Should push mine one down :-)
congratulations.
cheers
Rasmus
Awesome goat. Congratulations.
The Roe deer is beautiful as well. Lovely symmetry and looks 'right'. One day ....
