I have a zebra backskin that I would like to felt for a doormat. What type of glue should I use? Any suggestions for technique?

Glue isn't recommended for that type of application. The backing and felt(or leather) should be sewn on. Or just trim the piece to size and leave it go as is. But all skins, whether with a border or not, will lose their hair if used as a mat. Hugh Pro Staff for: In Natures Image Taxidermy

Kevin If the skin is a nice one do not use it as a rug or mat. My own was backed with black felt and appropriated by my wife as a rug i nthe main lounge, with the through traffic of a wife, 3 kids, a dog and a cat it has got hammered to hell. Better to back it with a felt border, or simply leave it unbacked and put it on a wall, if you have one large enough, set at an angle they look fab, that is what I would do in future.
