I hope someone may be able to help me, I shot a nice hawaiian ram in May with a nice curl, the only problem is, the fur was just about gone from shedding his winter coat i didn't notice how bad it was till I walked up it,I thought there would be enough on it to mount, but it didn't make it through the first round at the tannery,I shot him with my encore 243 pistol, 2 shots, the first at 60 yds., the second at 100 yds. both shots were with in 1/2" of each other,I took out the heart and the bottom of one lung. Ive been searching high and low to find a cape with no luck, some places I called were out of them and others never heard of that kind of sheep,if anyone can help i would appreciate it.

I would think this would be easy to replace. If you can't find one here, go to taxidermy.net forums and post under the WTB forum. You might also call some of the taxidermist in teh hill country. One of them is bound to have one.

To do it right you are going to need a new cape. Northstar gameland in Iowa has black hawaiin rams. The are also taxidermist. You might give Terry a call, just google Northstar gameland. Call his cell phone as he doesn't answer there land line. I would be happy to shoot one for you as I love the meat. SCI lifer NRA Patron DRSS DSC
