how can I clean antlers?

I have a set of antlers my hunting buddy shot in the '30's.What can I use to clean them? looks like fly sh**.

Good old soap and water will work. Use a rag and a small brush to get into all the noocks and crannies.
If they are really old they are probably dried out. After they are washed and have dried for a few days rub a mixture of linseed oil and turpentine on them. Mix about 50/50 but if you want to darken have more linseed oil.
Wipe it on and let it soak in. Apply additional coats untill no more will absorb then wipe it down with a dry cloth.
