I built a coffee table/ display case that I am planning on putting an outdoor scene in. The plan is to have a woodcock and grouse, the woodcock nestled into the leaves and the grouse standing on a stump or rock with his fan out. Now to the question, I would like to have the base be fall leaves, are there good quality fake leaves in fall colors? If I collect leaves that are turning now, is there anything I can do too preserve the color in them so that they can be used in the scene?

Hobby Lobby and Michaels have a spray on plant preservative that works pretty well.
