Leopard Mount
These photos have been posted before on the African Hunting forum. But since Saeed was so kind as to create the new forum and I am so happy with this mount, I thought that I post them here. The photos really don't do the mount justice.

The taxidermist was Rex Emerson out of Jefferson, NC.

I also threw in a photo of my kudu and impalas. The impalas are done on a pedestal and get quite a few comments.

Photographs NEVER do the mount justice, but it looks like he did a fine job.

That is one of my favorite poses for a Leopard.

BIG SAM
STEVE,

I want to thank you for turning us on to REX. We visited his shop (1hr. drive) and was SOLD.

The detail that I saw on the eyes, noses, ears, etc. was first rate. He arrainged for us to visit one of his clients that had three trips worth of mounts. SOLD AGAIN!!

We are looking forward to having him do our work. He is very creative and has an artists eye for detail. Thanks again.

Sam,

I'm glad that I was able to help. Rex is a bit slow, but it was worth the wait. Please tell Rex that I said hi. I told him about this forum and that he should get on here and share some of his expertice. Keep hoping to see him here.

I'd love to know what are are you getting mounted and how.

Take Care,

-Steve

Let me re-phrase that, "what animals you are going to have 'taxidermically' mounted and how"

-Steve

(I really shouldn't be responding to these threads while I'm also in a meeting where I'm trying to listen to bunch of Koreans on a conference call talk about cell phone transceiver testing...)

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

I guess I'm used to seeing mounts done a bit more realistically. I'm glad you're happy with it, but the anatomy has something a bit off that I can't place right now. Sorry to be the spoil sport.
