Heavy Metal 1restoration of salmon mount
I have a salmon mounted that has developed dark honey colored stains on its head, they are sticky and smell fishy if sniffed up close. I assume this is 'fish grease' that has bled out over the years. Is there a product to remove this and seal the mount better so this ceases to recur?

Joel/AKSalmon do that heavy metal. Thats one of the reasons why most shops went to an artifiacial head.
You can take it in and a taxidermist can touch it up and it will probably occur again years down the road.

Widowmaker416Salmon heads do that if they are not perpared correctly. That takes alot of time, most shops went to Artificial heads because it's easier and less time consuming.
They don't look as good as the real head
And to answer your question, no, there is nothing you can do with the greasy head, to repair it would just fix it for a very short time, a waste of your money, unforturely you need to have a artifical head put on at this point.
