Hunting For AdventureLion Mount
I'm considering a lioness hunt and was wondering what a general guideline is for mount prices.
Full body or rug. Many thanks. I am just looking for a basic guideline. That will help me make my decision.

J P BakerFull body mounts for Lion will very greatly based on who you have mount one for you. A taxidermist never having mounted one will be about 3000.00 to the high end guys who have mounted many will be around 6000.00 (taking in to account for custom altering & base work. I have them on my price list at 5500.00 but the final price will depend on how it will be mounted,it could be less.

Mary Hilliard-KruegerWell stated about the variance in price, John.
Our shop price is also $5,500.00 for a lifesize lion and rugs are $195.00 per linear foot.
In this industry, you get what you pay for. If anyone is price shopping or not they should get references and look at the taxidermists work before they go on their hunt.
You are a wise man to do your homework SilentT.
Kind Regards,
Mary

L. David KeithWhere do you want to hunt a Lioness? I have several countries to accomplish this goal but some require substantial funds, others are actually cheap. It is paramount you not get hung up in bureaucratic logistics or permits. You'll want to get your Lion skin back in the USA within 3 months if at all possible to avoid the tragic spoilage problems we're seeing lately. Call on me if I can help.

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......
