Buff mount in progress
I'm going to steal some of Anthony's thunder as he sent me pictures and I just wanted to share them. (Maxwell Widlife Artistry in Ceres, CA) Anthony says it should be done in less than two weeks.
Here's the basic form with my horns installed

Here's the form with the neck hump being built up. My PH said that my bull weighed close to 800 Kilos (1,760 Lbs) and carried all the extra weight in his neck and shoulders.

Here's where the face is built up with clay.

Here's where the skin is pulled on, almost done!.

He's going to look great, Frank.

I can't wait to see the finished job.

Nice....but to really show how much work goes into a cape buff you need to post about 100 photos. 4 makes it look too easy! Big Grin

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

Very cool Fjold and Anthony!

Can't wait until later this year when my buffalo will be showing up from Mozambique for Anthony to work his magic on.

Superb mount Frank... I liked him in your trophy pix but you are gonna love him on your wall!

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
