fat removal from antlers

A buddy of mine did a European mount for me that turned out really nice, except that he left some fat on the main beam. I want this greasy substance removed, and simply running hot water over it didn't seem to do much good. Suggestions? Thanks

A cheap job done cheap. Anyway a little laquer thinner will clean it right up.
