I have a Cape Buff euro mount with the entire skull (minus lower jaw). It is too long from back of horns to end of "nose" to fit on any of my shelves without sticking out too far.

I'm thinking about cutting off part of the skull but can't decide where to cut it. Anyone have any pictures they can share?

Use enough gun...
Shoot 'till it's dead, especially if it bites.

Man, it would be a shame to cut the skull. Given thoughts to one of these?

I've seen some good-looking Euro mounts that have the bottom half of the skull cut off, removing the teeth and the bottom half of the eye-sockets but keeping the "nose bones". That won't help you because the length stays pretty much the same.

The ones that have the front end removed are shorter but I think they are very unattractive.

cutting the skull in this way I dubt you can save much. If you have space put it on the floor. I think is one of the best place for a cape buffalo skull.

You obviously have a shelving problem.
