I like this one http://www.taxidermyart.no/html/asia/asia.htm. This mount is of one that looks like it is about to butt heads or take a leap below. With the head at a downward angle I believe you can see a little more detail on the face such as up the nose and around the eyes, because it would be looking towards whoever is viewing it. Also In my Opinion the jumping "upward" forms such as the sheep you picked out are missing something to me. Such as what is this animmal jumping over, or through? So a larger more complicated base would have to be constructed. | ||

That pose doesn't appeal to me as much. It looks unnatural. If I did a pose where it was beginning to bolt away, an extensive base wouldn't be needed. For the running pose I did have a extensive base idea of a steep uphill slant with a strait cliff behind the ibex. The ibex could always be making a "leap-of-faith" to another ledge. This would make a rather nice looking mount if you make the base look like a jagged clif base. Sevens | |||
