Friends, on my recent trip to Zim, I was fortunate to shoot some Francolin. I did not prepare any for taxidermy as the trackers really wanted to eat them. That said, I'd like a mounted one. Anybody got a reference for getting my hands on one. I figure I can get one from a taxidermist in Zim or SA and have it shipped here DHL (or maybe not?). Thank you in advance for your thoughts, ideas.

If you ship one bird from Africa it will have to go through the same usda, usfw, customs clearance that an entire trophy shipment would. it will be pricey. I would suggest having a friend who is hunting in africa take one and have it prepped for shipping with his trophy shipment. Jerry Huffaker State, National and World Champion Taxidermist

There are a couple species of francolin able to be hunted in Hawaii. Might be worth talking to an outfitter or taxidermist over there
