I have been researching getting insurance to cover a catastrophic loss of my mounts. I have roughly 20 shoulder mounts, North American and African, and they mean a lot to me but I live in Alaska where we've experienced large forest fires the last two summers that came pretty close to burning us out. Does any one have any ideas how to cover the loss of this art work, as taxidermy is if it is well done, without breaking the bank? Thanks.

I'm lucky, my insurance guy hunts. We just added a rider to my homeowners policy. For less than a C-note a year I have enough replacement coverage to go back to Africa and repeat those hunts, plus the taxidermy and shipping.

Has anyone ever made a claim to the SCI taxidermy insurance or other carrier? Curious if they actually paid out the entire amount to let you go re-collect your trophies. ____________________________ If you died tomorrow, what would you have done today ... 2018 Zimbabwe - Tuskless w/ Nengasha Safaris 2011 Mozambique - Buffalo w/ Mashambanzou Safaris
