Remote duck hunt-preserving ducks for taxidermy?

Headed out on a remote duck hunt for 7 days. No access to a freezer or electricity. Temps range from 20-40F.
Any ideas on how to preserve the ducks for taxidermy? Maybe skin them and salt the skins? Borax? Any ideas?
