Glueing Skulls
What is the best/ easiest glue to repair skulls and rejoin split mandibles and loose teeth? Mostly for bear, that are naturally "cleaned" in the bush surrounding long time bear stands and favorite skinning areas. I hear about white Elmer's as a favorite. Is that the same stuff as Elmer's School glue? With a elementary school teacher wife there's always lots of that around and I have used it on loose teeth. I've also heard about 5 minute epoxy for bone repair but haven't tried it; but then I've also heard super glue suggested and as near as I can tell that doesn't work at all.

Any suggestions so I don't have to reinvent the wheel? I thought they might have some use/value as outside decorator/curiousity pieces, and I do have a lot of them.

When my Lion skull took a tumble in our last big earthquake a very renowned taxidermist advised me to use 5 minute epoxy. Worked like a charm putting the jigsaw puzzle back together.

Glued a head-shot black bear skull and some split mandibles back together with 5 minute epoxy this morning with seemingly good results except for some small missing bits. Got some Weldbond white glue that dries clear and did what loose teeth pulled easily.

i just use clear super glue. i run a bead on the inside of all of the teeth of all of the euro's i do just in case. my wildebeest came back over-boiled and several bones were splitting. only so much i can do to get them back together, but superglue works well in holding it in place.
