Just wondering if any one has made use of a buffalo tail and scrotum?

Tobacco pouch (some). My sunglasses fit nicely in one made for a pipe and fixings in separate, zippered parts that had to start with the old makende holder... Store-bought not big bore shot (at least not by me.)

Flyswattwer for the tail and pen holder for scrotum.

My taxidermist made "fly swatters" out of the buffalo tails from my first safari. They look pretty good on the wall.



He also made a "nut bowl" out of the scrotum of a big dagga boy I shot - it is quite the conversation piece!

Thanks for posting those pictures, I think their great and perhaps adds a little something extra to a trophy room.

I have a couple of tails turned into fly-whisks, done by the tracker; one wildebeest, one gemsbok. I wish I had thought of that for the buffalo tail!

I also have a buffalo scrotum done up similar to that picture. I have a handful of small mementos thrown into it: recovered bullets, a couple porcupine quills, a few assorted teeth (animal!), a couple monstrous thorns, etc. Always a conversation-starter.

Next to it on the shelf, we also have a small (4x4-inch) plastic-framed copy of an old Far Side cartoon: two dogs looking into a small glass jar with something floating inside. One dog is saying to the other "The vet let me keep them...they're my testicles!"
