Very nice mount. I especially like the fact that it incorporates thorns, pure Africa. I also like the back af the mount, very unique.

Nice touch with the skin covering the entire back of the form. I'll remember that for my own customers. Nice clean work as well.

Thanks for all the kind words. The skin actually only wraps around the edges of the back an then is blended into a textured, painted epoxy. This piece started out as a shoulder mount but the cape was cut so nice and long that it begged for a pedestal with just a little start of the front legs.

If you are going to back this mount against an interior wall... PLEASE, plaese please, put the mount of the back-end of the animal against the other side of the wall.

(unless it's the bedroom, then use your own judgement!)

You really should paint the walls white.

Pink and african trophies don't go together.

D99,

I don't think those walls are pink, looks to me like they are a sandstone shade, a reddish brown.
I think the color really sets off the Warthog.

But, we are all entitled to our own opinion and likes and dislikes.....

The walls do look a little pink in the photo thanks to the flash but they are actually more of an orange/red color. I took a photo of the sand in the Kalahari in to Home Depot and they matched the color. The true wall color is close to the soil color I used on the mount. The soil color where I live is similar to some areas in southern Africa.
