I am interested in getting some of the African vegetation for decorating purposes. Not real obviously, but I know they must have it because you see it in some of the more elaborate mounts. Any suggestions? Thanks

Bringing back plants from most African countries is not allowed. I have used grasses and branches that I found in California for the same effect.

I know it can't be the real thing. I was thinking dried, etc. like they use in flower arrangements or on some of the life-size mounts I've seen.

I just did a google search, there's alot of places to buy silk plants and trees. You need a idea as to what you want, what kinds of plants, I see one outlet has a bunch of trees and plants from the area I hunted.

Also check a Crafts store, they have alot of silk plants, that's where I get all mine from. Even a Walmart has silk.

To add to a lifesize mount you shouldn't need to many trees/plants.

Anders: I noticed a few "Artifical Plant" web sites from the UK, that might help you out. If you want the addresses give me a yell! I'm still waiting to see your Klippie mount!

Really appreciate the info. Just what I needed.

By the way, just a suggestion but telling a girl you forgot all about her is not a habit you want to get into!

Thanks Widowmaker416. The answer is single but involved. Just trying to help you brush up on your "lines."
