It's been a long strange journey, but I am now getting to be pretty much a 4x Leupold on my hunting rifles, 1.5-5x Leupold on my big boomers, 6x Leupold on my varmint rigs kind of guy. I've had a couple of Zeiss scopes. Great glasss, but not enough eye relief. Still have a couple Swarovski's. Great scopes, and customer service the equal of Leupold's, but not that much better that I am going to trade in my large pile of Leupolds on a smaller pile of Swarvo's. Whenever I travel to hunt I always take two rifles, each with two scopes pre-zeroed. Three out of the four scopes (at least) are always Leupolds.

I have at least 15 rifles with Leopold scopes, including a 416 Rem Mag and a 470 Capstick. In addition, I have two 1000 yd BR rifles with Nightforce scopes and two varmint rifles with Burris scopes.

Two of my rifles used to have Burris Fullfield II scopes and now wear Leupolds. Both of these Fullfield II scopes had major parallax problems beyond 200 yds.

One of Burris scopes on my varmint rifles had problems with the windage/elevation adjustments after less than 1 year of use. At least Burris fixed this one at no charge.

I have never had to send any of my 15+ Leupold scopes in for repair. A few of them were purchased in the late 60's and early 70's.

Leupold scopes work for me, and better than anything else ever has, except for the superb Leica scope (also Leupold built) that I have on my .300 Winchester........

Burris and Leupold are the only two manufactured scopes I trust anymore on my larger caliber rifles. Never had a Burris fail me and only one Leupold(it was my fault) that did . Lawdog

I have never personally had a leupold scope fail. Then again I have never had a swarovski, ziess, weaver or bushnell scope fail either. The only scopes that I have witnessed fail first hand were tasco, simmons, burris and bsa.
