tom ferrypolar bear hunt
Does anyone have a number of people who were caught up in the deal where they shot a polar bear when it was legal to bring them back to the U.S. but then ended up not being allowed to bring them back?

Aaron NeilsonTom - I shot the bear pictured below in 2003, and it still sits in Canada. The area I hunted (Gulf of Boothia) was still closed for importation then, but was next on the list to open. I really wanted to hunt this area out of Hall Beach, as I knew it would be very good. I shot this 9' 5" boar on the first day of my hunt. Unfortunately changes came along, and the open importation of Polar Bears from the Gulf of Boothia never happened!
I did book numerous clients in other locations that were importable into the U.S., and all of them got their bears home.
