I was thinking the same. I'd call the mayor and tell him to KMA. Who are the dumb liberal lawyers in New Orleans that decided there was no second amendment?

for the forseeable future, as long as we keep the dems in the minority in both the house and senate, our right to own firearms is somewhat secure. having a repub as president doesn't hurt either! make no mistake, there are many in washington and around the country who wants to take away your right to own and hunt with firearms. we must remain aware of both their past voting records and their tactics. i could go on, but you get the drift!

Didn't President Bush just sign into law a proposal by the NRA to prevent any further gun confiscations?? I thought I heard that somewhere.

See, I feel the only way to stop liberals, who want to take away firearms from those who own, them.. since it wouldn't apply to them and they want the rest of us to do it there way....

I think we should counter with campaigning to make them do things our way......By passing laws, and using Kennesaw GA as an example, which passed a law that all families in the city of Kennesaw were required by law to own firearms.....the target being to cut down on the dramatic rise in crime.... and it worked....

Liberals are always passing laws, to make us all live life to their ideals of their utopia.... when it doesn't apply to them, and yet they make us pay for it to boot!

Well lets just use their philosophy on them.... make it illegal for them NOT to own firearms.. and then MAKE them pay for the firearm on top of it.... if they refuse to buy one, then the law has provisions for the government to buy one for them and then seize the cost for reimbursement out of their bank account.... and let them spend 30 days in jail for not being in compliance with the law.... second offense take away their drivers license for one year.... third offense.... 5 years in jail....

See how they like it, when someone else rams their agendas down their throats.....

Seafire,
I wish we could jam those laws down there collective throats and let them experience being on the other side of the injustice.

The Kennesaw laws worked very well, crime rates dropped considerably. But do you think the libs would recognize that? No.

There is a lot of truth to the saying: “gun control is not about guns, it’s about controlâ€. The liberals want to require us to go to the government and get permission to own a firearm. It fits in with their socialist agenda.

I go to New Orleans quite often to run projects and several of my contractors are avid hunters and rifleman. None of them have had any guns taken from them and I haven't even heard about this. I'll be sure to ask around when I go down at the end of the month. I'm sure the US Marshalls at our downtown office will be able to fill me in.

Wouldn't surprise me w/ our screwy liberal political figures in this state...

How in the world has that idiot bungleneaux blanco stayed in as governor over there??? is the polictics in LA really that bad, the really shitting thing is we took in some refugees even up here in utah, everyone was so excited we where helping them out, hell the governor went out to personally welcome them, being from texas, I knew it was going to be a terrible Idea letting them come here. Those niggers have burned down apartments and caused all sorts of crime here. I feel really sorry for houston who have had to deal with the brunt of this. blanco is partly to blame

in times when one needs a rifle, he tends to need it very badly.....PHC

It seems gunowners worldwide have to keep on their toes to ensure that gun rights are not taken away.

Now there's an idea!

Sorry I didn't take the time to read the New Orleans link, but yes, the City did confiscate all firearms after the hurricane.

It was only because the NRA successfully challenged them in Federal court that the City returned the firearms.

Join the NRA!

P.s. Madgoat, what planet is Wyoming? This was covered by multiple news outlets. How could you not have heard?

Yep, they're really that bad but, I will say it's a whole different environment down there. Here in North La it's more like Texas. I just cringe when I have to go down there .

On the corrupt ridiculous politics note, What can you expect from a bunch of liberal idiots?
