Here is a warning.

For any posters who have small children, the movie "Open Season" is an awful cartoon portraying hunters as drunken oafs intent on killing the lovable animals in the forest. They even have a lovable grizzly bear. The movie is far worse than Bambie in portraying wildlife, wildlife conservation, and hunting ethics.

I must agree with you on this. It is a typical hollywood protrayal of anybody in fly-over country. My kids loved the movie, but would rather hunt and shoot with me anyday.

I think they are poking fun of Ted Nugent in the movie by having the hunter simulate guitar sounds with his rifle.

Like anything else in parenting, teach them what's wrong with it, and it's only a movie
