I have never seen a summer like this one for battles.

AR is always a hotbed or emotional retards run amok. I have been known to be one, just as well as quite a few of the rest of you. This year it just seems to be the worst ever.

Have a great 2010, please remember that treating people with respect, and forgiving someone for being an asshole are both noble things.

May whatever God you believe in, or choose not to believe in bless you.

Just my .02, but I feel that a lot of it has to do with just the situation of the world in general and everyones stress level due to all the BS that is taking place that none of us has any control over.

The worlds economy is shot to hell for the most part, most of us if not all of us are feeling outside pressures that are affecting us in our everyday lives and we have no power to change it.

Hunting seasons are around the corner and probably many of us have had to, for what ever reason change our plans for the foreseeable future as far as our hunting pursuits and gun buying prospects are concerned.

People that have jobs are worried about keeping them, people that don't have jobs are having a hard time finding one.

It is easy to vent those frustrations on the internet due to the amount of anonimity provided.

Most of us know that it is a really long chance that any of us will ever come face to face with each other.

It is just easier, and safer to lash out at some anonymous character on a forum then do the same thing in real life in the socio-economic group that normally surrounds us.

Many of us are frustrated and strained to the limit with all the BS that keeps being thrown at us by our elected officials and the 4th. Estate.

Where these forums are suppopsed to be places for the exchange of information/ideas/opinions/knowledge, they instead become Bloody Pulpits for people that in all actuallity are normally really nice folks that any of us could spend time at a campfire or in a hunting camp with.

The thing too many of us forget, and I am just as guilty, if not more so at times, is that even with all the little emoticons on the web, the internet is the most emotionless medium there is, in regards for a person to be able to accurately get across what they are getting at with their posts.

Misinterpretation of a post or response or the content thereof is the catalyst that fuels the flame.

Cronyism/clanishness/supposed political-idealogical beliefs/regional biases/socio-economic status, add infinitum all play a part in causing discussions to get out of hand, as does age and actual level of real time life experiences.

This is just something that happens every summer on forums.

This year it may seem worse/is worse, simply due to all of the outside pressures each of us are having to deal with in our daily lives.

I may be wrong with all that, no big surprise there.

My problem is, being wrong about something actually makes me feel good, it is when I am right about something that I really worry.

Even the rocks don't last forever.
