I live and work on a ranch east of flagstaff..in gmu 5b. At 2pm this afternoon a purple jeep sat out by the gate to the driveway for a long while, purpose unknown.
the owner saw them and watched them for a bit, even waved at them to come in thinking maybe they wanted to chat. They just sat there. after. a bit the owner went back to what he was doing.
Whoever these individualles were we don't know but they eventually drove in , quiet like . the dogs never even heard them.
We had a 2 month old border collie pup, I say had because these individuals killed her. they ran over her. Just as the owner noticed them in the drive. one of them got out of the jeep and tossed little sara under the shed deck, jumped back into the jeep and they sped off.
These are cowards, it was an accident but they sped off . No balls ethics or morals. killed a little beautiful dog and threw her aside like so much trash. a sweet pup,now gone.
Not a good way to end the day.

I don't understand, they ran over her out on the road then brought her up to the house? Or, they ran over her when they were driving up the driveway?

Was thinking the same thing.

Heartbreaking. Even if they catch them, there is no happy end to this.

Dang D,

Sorry to hear it. Too bad no one was there to help them find their morals. Do you think they were locals? That's a long ways off from anywhere to just be "passing through".

Maybe a quick drive over to the lake might "find" a purple Jeep?

I'd come up and help for the weekend if I was still in AZ.

Say "Hi" to everybody for me anyway.

We think they were casing the place too. We are looking for them.
When they entered thru the gate they were in the ranch yard. we have signs that say to watch for dogs cats chickens calves cattle and kids.
Thanks to all for your kindness. Sara was to be the next working dog as 2 are being retired due to age. Its hard to even think about finding another pup right now.
Slim I will tell everyone hello. How are things your way?
