Sorry to say no elk saw about 60 but they were always in the wrong place and wrong time. Long ways off or on the wrong ranch.

Had a great time spent lots of time hunting and trying.

Did shoot a mule deer buck not really big but was fun and good eating ahead. Saw deer every day. A 338wm 250 hornaday has no trouble killing deer. Wink

Weather was perfect except we had 30 plus and gusty wind up to 70mph for very day 24/7. except the last 3 hrs of the hunt.

I glad to hear that your hunt went well. Big or not, I'm sure that I'm not the only one who would love to see photos of your deer.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.
