Does anyone know if there are there any wild populations available to hunt in Washington state? Not talking about fenced or ranch hunts, but on public lands? Thanks.

not that I'm aware of. There is a rumor of a huntable population in Cheney, but i have not confirmed that. they were supposed to be escaped domestic stock gone wild. Roger Biesen says he knows guys that have been there. i am still trying to pin him down about it. i'd love to hunt some pigs with my dad and father in law, but it would be tough to convince the girls to let us spend a bunch of money on it.

There is a place just south Of Cheney, but it is a private ranch. It will run you $800. Saw them on Bushnell Outdoors several years back, and called out of curosity.

There once a rumored population of domestic gone wild down near Rochester south of Capitol Forest. Someone said the Hillbillies shot 'em all out. That was in the sixties though. Haven't heard of anywhere else. Lots of 'possums though. Not as mean, just as ugly.
