I need a Ghillie jacket.
I will attend DSC in January.
Does anybody know of suppliers in the Dallas area as I could obtain while there?
I know hunting clothing exhibitors will be at DSC but I'm not sure I've ever seen Ghillie items offered...??
Thankyou

I have no idea about DSC.
Never been and don't plan to.

I ordered one from: The Sportsmans
Guide catalog quite a few years ago.
Price was fair, I don't recall now
what it was.

I do recall the plastic STUNK like hell!
I sent it back and they replaced it with
another that smelled just as bad. I needed
it then and didn't feel it would work.

Out for coyotes the sage brush was in bloom.
I picked a bunch of that and stuffed it
in a plastic bag with the suit for several
months.
That cured the stink. I have no clue
if there's sage brush in NZ or not.

I'm sure you could find someone going there
that would receive a shipment from this
outfit. They're online and easy to deal
with.

Hope this helps, and you enjoy your visit.

George

Has that volcano settled down yet?

Ugly doings it looked like.

Wish you well to mate.

I brought a sportsmans guide one and sewed another hundred plus strips of camo material onto it.

Now it is awesome I have had Toms walk with in 5 feet of me and not spook.

Buy a good mesh camo jacket and go to work with a needle and thread

Gents,
Thanks for the info.
I needed the Ghillie suit for most probably a one time use.
As it turns out a friend was able to borrow something suitable on my behalf. That's the best solution I think.
Cheers
