I hunted last week with Jay Farris of http://www.maineexperienceguideservice.com/index.html found after a bit of research in the web. I was surprised how, as alien, was very simple to get license and permit, with the efficient service of the local Fish and Wildlife office. I drove with my family from my house in New Brunswick to Hallowell (Maine) a fantastic trip in the middle of pristine forest and fields. And already on the road I started to see turkey around. Arrivati at the beautiful "Maple hill farm B&B" where we stayed for a couple of nights I found that the wild turkey were everywhere. In fact after a couple of hours in the blind the first morning I was able to kill one. We hunted also the second day, when we saw at least six different groups of birds. Unfortunately where too nervous because of the strong wind and they did not respond at the call. However a very interesting experience. Maria, my little six year old daughter, looks very happy with the tom in the hands mario | ||
