Okay guy's , every one know's your supposed to use pepper on meat,(moose, deer etc.) to keep the bull fly's off it, and to keep them little egg"s from hatching. Seem"s like it's going to be a warm moose hunt this year.Well anyway my native buddy stopped by to-nite, and during the discussion on the upcomming moose hunt, this subject was brought up, he say's he use's straight vinegar instead of pepper, and has never had a problem with bull fly's, my question is , has any one else tryed this? thank's Rick.

I have heard vinegar works as well as pepper.
Put the vinegar into a spray bottle and mist the meat covering it totally but not dripping wet.

The vinegar makes the meat crust over. Pepper will keep flies off. What I prefer is vinegar mixed with tabasco. This takes care of both.
