Hi folks, I'm not sure where to go with this, i guess i'll try a booking agent or two, along with a good ol' google search to see if i can find what i need. but hopefully someone here can help. what we need is a bachelor party hog hunt. the group size will be somewhere between 15-20 people most likely. probably closer to 15. all but one of us is over 30, damn near all of us are engineers, married, kids, etc... so professional adults, not a bunch of wild and crazy 20 year olds. 1. we do not mix guns and alcohol. there will be alcohol consumed, after the hunting/shooting is done. ideally, we would like to find a ranch with a shooting area for plinking, and hogs to hunt. a bass lake would be a definite plus. we would like to stay on the property, a large lodge or group of cabins close together is fine. we're not looking to spend a fortune to hunt animals that most all landowners hate. we dont really need guides, help skinning or butchering, all of that we can do. we are all outdoorsman except for a couple of folks, but we can help them out. ideally we'd have the place to ourselves for the weekend, or at least a designated chunk of the property. semi-guided would be ok, meals would be ok if offered as well. as long as we have maps and an idea of the lay of the land and animals we should be good to go. timeframe would be a weekend in early march preferably. if there are any atv's available for our use that would also be a plus, but we should have a couple 4x4's driving in. plus rental cars. if there are exotics to be hunted a couple of guys might be interested in adding that to the hog hunt (myself included, as i'm the bachelor). the size of our group seems to be the limiting factor of the places i've looked so far. we're a bunch of TN/AL good ol boys that have done the vegas, new orleans, memphis, etc.. bachelor parties, and for mine, i can't think of anything better than getting out of the DC area, finding some stuff to shoot, and relaxing with good friends. thanks for any insights and help you may have. john

I don't know what your budget is but try "the Big Woods" - it's in Texas along the Trinity River - talk to them and push for a discount for your group - with a group that size you should have the whole place to your self and it sounds like it would fit your needs I've killed a lot of hogs there Good Luck

Is something in the $500 range per man in the budget? Lodging, hogs, predators. I offer primarily free range hunts and also preserve hunts on 1 million acres across west and southwest Texas for native and exotic game. www.westtexashunt.com Please Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/WestTexasHuntOrganization/
