Axis cull/hog hunt, west Texas?

I asked about this a while back, and am taking another look for an affordable Axis doe cull with the chance to poke a feral hog. Hoping to find something for my brother and I this spring roughly west of a line from Abilene to Junction, in Kimble County, or thereabouts, in the Hill Country. Want to combine the hunt with paying our respects to our great-great grandfather, a Mexican War veteran, who is buried in Junction. Any advice, suggestions, or referrals most gratefully accepted.

Bill,
You may want to pose this question with a Internet search engine.
The price of exotics varies depending on the landowner/outfitter situation.
For instance, back when the least expensive cow elk price was $1,200 each, we located a ranch that wanted all elk shot off their property and shot mature cows for $600 including guide, retrieval from field, skinning and quartering into coolers. Here is mine:

This place was south of Abilene but is no longer selling hunts.

I have information for you that was collected for a friend back east and will PM it to you to research. At this time it is the only lead I have even close to what you asked.

Good luck.

Bill:

I've often wondered about those rams
after driving thru there trucking in
the early 70's. Some amazing curls!

Good luck pard,
George

George, the rams make wonderful trophies, but I'm after the best meat possible, hence the Axis focus.
