Hello All
I my quest to rescue old guns from the gun cabinets of certain relatives that are not using them, I rescued a shotgun from my grandfather. It is a Wards Western Field M550 12ga. pump. It has a 30"? barrel, raised rib on the barrel, removable choke tubes, and some sort of machine engraving on the bolt. Looks like an upscale(for Wards anyway) shotgun. Looks a lot like a Mossberg 500. I am trying to find out who the manufacturer of the gun is so I can get the right choke tubes for it.

I posted the question up here because more folks read this forum.
Thanks in Advance
ZM

If the chokes are the external screw on chokes (the threads on the barrel are male and the threads on the tubes are female) they are probably the old Lyman choke tubes, If they are internal chokes, I would suggest that you mike the threads on the choke tube, and use a thread gauge to get the number of threads per inch, then consult the Brownell's catalog, as they have the most comprehensive listing I've seen.

The tube that is installed on this shotgun is an internal choke tube.
