With the decline of Mule Deer all across the west I think research is hugely important, (conservation of habitat is definetly #1) but a study is underway looking at the effects of nutrition on Mule Deer, a captive herd is being maintained at Washington State University and below is a link that shows a little about what is being done and how you can help support it.
