I have seen several posts about Accubond failure, so I thought I'd report a success. I killed a 140 class Texas buck at 142 yards with a broadside shot which entered the spine close to where the neck joined its body and took out the spine and exited the deer on the offside just like it was suppoed to. This was from a .270 with the 140g Accubond traveling 3200 fps.

Sambubba, My .270 Win out of a Ruger 1 will only achieve 3050 ft/sec's but the terminal performance is as you describe. Two whitetails so far, 165 yards and 80 yards, one shot is more than enough, and penetration is excellent.

I've shot 2 Elk at long range with 338, and 30cal Accubonds. Both are in the freezer and were stopped by the first shot........DJ

I took an elk at 80 yards this year with a 200gr 30 cal Accubond launched @ 2980fps. Hit two ribs and the offside shoulder before exiting, leaving a quarter size exit hole. Just the sort of performance I had hoped for.
