will happen this weekend.. I bought a bunch of chances, wish me luck!

I just love moose meat! and I want to try to make some moose biltong.. I brought back a bag of biltong spice last time i was in RSA, and would hate to waste it on store bought beef.

I have a bunch of hunters waiting on the results. They all bought a 480 chances which statistically gives them a 99% chance of drawing. I have my fingers crossed for them. I'm the sub-permittee for one of them and I want to go on this hunt badly.

Good luck Frank. Hope to see my name too. Mark: is that 480 chances each, or a group of guys that bought 480 total? I know a guy that bought 400 himself a few years ago and didn't make the cut! Good luck to you.

If one guy applies with 480 chances he's probably going to draw. If ten guys combined have a total of 480 chances, it might be a long time before one of them to draws. People that enter their wives, kids, grandparents, and town drunks with hopes of being able to participate are further ahead if they just take all the funds and use them for themselves. Have fun

Guys,

Some of my clients drew and some did not. It would appear that the State is handling the draw differently for'15 than in the past. If I find out how to stack the deck for future moose hunts I will post that info.

It looks like the Cyr family has it figured out. 9 of them got drawn.

Maybe, but in truth you cannot swing a dead cat without hitting a CYR, LOL

Disappointed again here too. Every year I promise myself that I won't bother with it again. Then the following year I end up sending in another application fee. I'd do better buying lottery tickets or standing in the rain waiting to get hit by lightning.... I know of people who have drawn more than once and others who have gone 35 years and come up dry every time.

Personally I feel like welding some railroad iron on the front of an old pickup and just driving around randomly at night.
... As in "Nice moose. Whadja get him with?" "Oh just an old F 150 and some 95 pound railroad track..." Smiler Seriously they to get to be real traffic hazards and do cause a lot of damage.

A good job is sometimes just a series of expertly fixed fark-ups.
Let's see.... is it 20 years experience or is it 1 years experience 20 times?
And I will have you know that I am not an old fart. I am a curmudgeon. A curmudgeon is an old fart with an extensive vocabulary and a really bad attitude.
