This was my 1st pronghorn. The hunt didn't last long. I was lucky enough to take him a couple of hours into the hunt on opening day. I hope the picture works.

Good looking buck, congratulations. Frank "I don't know what there is about buffalo that frightens me so.....He looks like he hates you personally. He looks like you owe him money." - Robert Ruark, Horn of the Hunter, 1953 NRA Life, SAF Life, CRPA Life, DRSS lite

Thanks for the compliments, as for the rifle and range.. I was shooting a 300 ultra mag. with 180gr bullets. Nothing special, just factory rounds.I know it's a little overkill, but I use one rifle for all my traveling. He wasn't that far out, I shot him at 100 yards. I got lucky he was about 400 yards away and ran right at me and stopped. go figure..

Nice buck! If you're on decent land, east plains CO goat hunts are usually not a long process lol My first one a few years ago was down, gutted and being loaded into my trunk by 10am If you think every possible niche has been filled already, thank a wildcatter!

Thanks again for all the compliments MileHighShooter: your right about that I'm amazed at the amount of quality animals out there. I look forward to going back. SageBrush Burns: We were hunting about 1 1/2 hours East of Colorado Springs. I think we took ?Highway 91? straight out of the Springs, there wasn't much out there, just one small town if you wana call it that. Bob in TX: Ha ha yeah they would have to put up a pretty high fence to keep me out. I truly love hunting and fishing in colorado. I also got to do some good trout fishing in 11 Mile Canyon. Good luck on your future hunt Jay
