Is there anywhere online that has a list of the deadlines for most states to get applications in for big game hunts? I'd like to start applying now so that in a few years I can start putting those preference points to use.

It is probably easiest and most reliable to identify the states you want to hunt and just go state by state to their DNR sites.

In Colorado, the website will be
www.wildlife.state.co.us
and their deadline is usually the first 3 or 4 days of April.
You can apply online. You will need to apply for a CID online and you must have hunter safety if you were born after 1949

Arizona's deadline for getting your snail-mail applications for elk and pronghorn hunts to an Arizona Game and Fish Department office is February 11. On-line applications are accepted at

www.azgfd.gov
