OK, I was not really sure where to put this as we don't have a "Tragedy" forum or "Darwin Awards" forum but I figured it would get looked at here so here it is. Some guy in my little town tried to kill himself on monday . . . WITH A CROSSBOW! This dude, who has been in town for about a month or so, drove himself into the forest and shot himself in the neck with a damn crossbow. He survived and, not to sound completely heartless, the word at the local tavern is all he really needed to do was wait a little while and someone would have shot him just to save him the trouble.
Simultaneously very sad, strange and humorous in a bizarre way.

JohnTheGreek

JTG - Say you made this up just for laughs! This is pretty wacky...although there HAVE indeed been some mighty crazy suicides. For instance, take the recent suicide of the terrorist chap in Baghdad. Didn't he shoot himself in the HEAD four times? [Big Grin] [Eek!]

Pecos,
Unfortunately, the story is not made up. It happened on Monday and I heard about it yesterday (which is really a surprisingly long time considering the size of my town - We have one general store and a bar). I told a buddy about it today and he asked the logical question . . . "broadhead or target arrow"

Regards,

JohnTheGreek

a crossbow huh?

if you want a bizzare sucide, a fella up here opened up all the gas valves in the house and put a candle in his attic...everything in a 2 block radius went with him, luckily that was only undeveloped wood lands.
