We are tired of seeing all the stuff at the mall and tired of the Smithsonian, and at least I want to hit some nice gun shops and ranges. Any ideas? She would rather spend money on chick stuff.

There's a Bass Pro Shop in Anarundel, MD, but other than that, you'll need to head into Northern Virginia for gun shops like Clarks Brothers (they also have a range), there's a Dick's Sporting Goods in Fairfax. The NRA range (the museum is worth seeing) is also in Fairfax, VA. There is surprisingly little around DC. "Ignorance you can correct, you can't fix stupid." Thanks we hit Dicks today, and shot sporting clays at the Bull Run range. We had been to the NRA museum, and we'll try Clark Brothers. I am anti-Bass-pro. The guns, and quality of people that work there tend to suck. What really blows my mind is the lack of basic firearms knowledge from even folks in the fine gun room.
