For all of you Alaskans: The fall drawing results are now online at the ADFG site. My partner & I put in for elk on Afognak & of course Delta bison. We were selected for the 2nd season for either sex elk in the north portion of Afognak. As usual, we were skunked on the bison. This'll be our 3rd trip with nary a shot to be fired except on a deer. Hope this time's the charm. Sure would be nice if ADFG went to a point system like a lot of the other states. It sure does suck dead donkey dicks when a long time Alaskan that could use the meat doesn't get drawn for a bison in 30+ years but some G.I. with 1 year of residence draws a tag. Not knocking the G.I. in any way, but.... That's all for now folks, ya'll have a good 4th of July. Bear in Fairbanks

Yukon Jack - I made my donation (again) with similar results - still plan on caribou, maybe a moose (lacking a strong partner to carry), hopefully sitka if I can get to them and of course, my yearly ritual of chasing billies in the high country - I will be more than satisfied with any one animal, the real kick is getting out there - until them, its fishing and hiking / climbing to stay in shape for hunting - KMule

Fellow Alaskans, a couple of my buddies drew a party tag for the DM538 moose hunt. This isapparently at the N.E. corner of Lake Tustamena. Any words of advice I can give 'em? Anyone have aerial imagery? Digital Orthos would be quite handy. TIA ~~~ Lars
bearstalker - sounds good, where are you located ? I must confess that I do not belong to the motorized hunting crowd, just legs and lungs on most of my hunts. I will send you a PM - thanks - KMule
