I posted the smaller of these 2 a couple of weeks back but the larger one just showed up in my back yard on Tuesday of this week, 2 days AFTER the season closed. But then again, if you've followed these posts of mine over the years, we can't hunt them in our subdivision.

We get some really big bucks in our neighborhood.

This buck just showed up in my yard a couple of days ago. Looking back at this thread from last year, he's the same deer as the second one above. Looks like he survived the year and is even better this year.

Wow Todd, that's a slammer buck! He has to be flirting with the 160's...

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Up until that big boy above showed up, this was the biggest buck we had this year. Photo taken a couple of months back while they were still in velvet.

This one would be a good one for Saeed ... an Outer Circle buck! LOL

Cool

The rut is in full swing in my back yard this week. I watched that big boy breed a couple of does over the past couple of days.

Then this morning, I watched him walk across the yard, limping badly from a fight. Looks like he got is ass kicked. Haven't seen the old boy that did it to him yet!!

Yep, the bucks are all traveling with their heads down and tongues hanging out.

I love the character of the antlers of that last buck that you posted, I'd love to see him polished clean.

I found this 50 feet into my woods along a major deer trail
