Went out the other day for a spin.

Climbed up high

Took a look around

Saw a turkey @ 1,200 yds, but being a short range meat hunter I just watched him strut.

Said “Hi” to some of the locals

Shot a hoglet. Cause I could

Came back

Went down the road a piece,

Looked left

Looked right

The Pellucidarian’s say, turn left and follow your heart.

I do. tu2

Great photos, thanks for sharing. I can't get over how that country looks like Africa.

That was my thought exactly!

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Awesome place!!!

What is the county. I have been looking around to buy a hunting property, but I'm having a difficult time in selecting a general location. The places I like best are a little far from Houston.

Go Duke!!

It does look awfully nice.

I am always entertained by people who think Texas is a wasteland. They don't know any better, I guess.

I am jealous of your Creek/river. Mine flows salty as the ocean. That creek is absolutely beautiful.
