Just got back from the hospital where yesterday the placed one stint each into my right and left main arteries of my heart.

Right one was 97% blocked left was 95% block.

It is a long story why it wasn't done sooner.

I well be looking for a new GP and clinic as they dropped the ball big time on this problem over the last 3 years.

I have had two stints in about the same place for 5 years now, one is in the widowmaker, had I waited it would have been curtains...So your good to go, eat a lot of venison and very little beef is a real good idea, take your pills that are probably many. Wish you the best..Lots of us stinters still on this side of the dirt, so hang in there. It hasn't changed my lifestyle one bit, stay active for sure.

Scary stuff.

Glad you got it taken care of in time.
Pay attention to what Ray has to say.
Five years with two I'd bet he has it
figured out by now.

Always better to catch it before you have a heart attack. Just remember the stents are only part of it they too can block up learn to eat properly and make an effort to exercise.
I am 33 days out from triple bypass myself that is 17 years after two stents in Widowmaker.

I have been a avid exerciser for 40 plus years.

Non smoker non drinker.

The rehab nurse said my problem would be wanting to push it to fast.

I had been doing every thing right.

That most likely contributed to the problem that they dismissed my symptoms for the last 4 years.

Glad you got the surgery in time.

Take care and follow your doctor's orders.

If he prescribes you Amiodorone, be extremely careful and monitor your side effects. That stuff killed my brother after he had his heart surgery.

Good luck.

Glad the Lord decided you could stay awhile. Count not needing the big incision as another blessing.

Always amazes me how severe the disease (many diseases, actually) can be before you're forced to acknowledge the symptoms. I took care of more than a few folks who had "mild" symptoms (so they said) and 99% proximal lesions.

Having been shot at without results. There was a lot more pucker factor when the bullets were flying.

Totally a different feeling.

Sometimes things can change so rapidly you don't even realize it. My brother-in-law just had a total blockage in his leg, that resulted in the insertion of a 12"stent to re-supply the leg with blood. Home and recovering well now. Soon as he gets to Tucson, he has an appointment with a heart and vascular surgeon there to do full work ups on his heart, to see if there are hidden issues.

I went down on april 15 with heart attack. 100% occlusion of widowmaker. I just finished time in tread mill. Was in hospital campus or probably would be dead. One stent in my LAD, and a bunch of meds. I a, 56 and in pretty darn good shape and don’t smoke either. You never know
