They are great stands.

I don't own one but, two close friends and fellow hunters have them and love them.

They are light and easy to operate. Much better design than the APIs and Ole' Mans.

Good Luck!

I've got 2 and like them very much. I've been a Summit fan for many years, and the Viper is an excellent climber and is very stable. I don't have the 'quick climb stirrups', but am considering buying them for my stands. Also, I am really picky about my stands being quiet, and the Viper is quiet without having to pad anything or tweak the stand at all, that definitely isn't the case with all stands! I have found it is difficult for me to get the seat set high enough for the bar to be used as a prop when rifle hunting, I typically only bowhunt from my Vipers or, for gun hunting when shots will be at a distance I can make offhand comfortably. Quality is excellent, I would reccomend it highly.

Regards, Don

I have one that I only use for rifle hunting. I can fall asleep init and don't have to worry about falling out. I modified it with an old man net seat as I didn't like the seat it came with. For bowhunting, it is hard to beat the Lone Wolf sit and climb.
