I am in the Army and just recently stationed at Ft Carson. I think I am really going to like it here. But I need some help from residents of Colorado Springs.

First: I need to find a FFL to receive some firearms for me. I recently made some trades for some guns and had them shipped to my FFL holder back home. I had planned on being able to get back up there to retrieve them before I deploy in April, but that isnt going to happen. So I am looking for a local FFL holder who wont charge a small fortune to receive them for me.

I am also trying to find out where the local ranges and gun shops are.

If any of you can help I would sure appreciate it. You can reach me vai PM here or by my email at:

wberger70@hotmail.com

Thanks,

William Berger

There is the Shootin' Den off of Fillmore. It's been a while since I've been there though. There also is Specialty Sports off of academy but again I haven't been down there in a while. I've never shot down in the Springs but I think that there is a place called the Walton range?. I have no Idea where it is though. If you ever come up to the Denver area check out The Gunroom in Lakewood. One of the few independent shops left that's worth a sh$t up here.

Oops sorry. Too long in the Far East.
Have sent you an email on the cheapest way to do this in the Springs. Tell your friends, one group of GIs helping out another.

Couple places to join so you can shoot the Izaak Walton League east of town on Hwy 94 just east of "pete" field about halfway to Schriever AFB on Franceville Coal Mine road. Just north of that range 4 miles as the crow flies is Frontier Sportsmans Club, they have a website. A place to pay and shoot is Dragon mans also east of town. I hear there is some nice shooting facilities at Fort Carson and Peterson AFB for Military guys. I use an FFL east of town, Kevin Weaver website is www.weaverrifles.com
